EDTA Blood
Minimum sample volume: 1 ml. The test is referred and must reach the referral laboratory within 24 hours of venepuncture, therefore test only available during the routine working week Mon-Thurs, mornings only.( The samples need to be sent by guaranteed next day delivery )
A normal control sample is required to be sent with the test sample.
Used in the diagnosis of hereditary spherocytosis.
