Group and antibody screen will be performed.
Blood groups required for other than clinical reasons are chargeable (e.g. for travelling abroad). The charge is £68.00. Patients can have the sample collected in the Medical Outpatient’s Blood Room at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital (Wonford). The patient can either be invoiced directly or the G.P.’s collecting samples can be invoiced at their practice. Please indicate which is required on the request form and include the patient’s home address. In all cases the report will be sent to the patients GP.
Turnaround times for results from these samples is <48 hours
