09:00 to 16:30 Monday to Friday

• Microbiology consults made via Epic & ICE or emails via Microconsultants will be answered from 09:00-16:30 Monday-Friday. Consults made outside of these times will not receive a same day response.
• Outside these hours an urgent out-of-hours on-call service operates via switchboard (01392 411611 for RD&E, 01271 322577 for NDDH) for Registrars, Fellows and Consultants only.

From 16:30 on weekdays and all-day on weekends and bank holidays the on-call Medical Microbiologist can be contacted for urgent clinical advice via the hospital switchboard (01392 411611 for RD&E, 01271 322577 for NDDH) (Registrars, Fellows and Consultants only.)

Scientific/Technical On-call Service

The duty Biomedical Scientist can be contacted for the processing of urgent specimens outside of routine working hours via the hospital switchboard on (01392 411611 for RD&E, 01271 322577 for NDDH).
