In May this year, Kate Huish, senior Biomedical Scientist in Haematology, is undertaking an epic off road cycling challenge from John O Groats to Lands End. The route will cover in excess of 1300 miles, covering gravel trails, moorland tracks and parts of the UK cycling network as well as spending most nights under canvas. Although this is a personal challenge, Kate is raising money for ELF charity who support patients under the care of clinical Haematology and have close links with the Laboratory.
