Mpox is a infectious disease caused by the mpox virus (MPXV).

 

Special Instructions

Suspected cases require urgent discussion with the Microbiology team who will discuss with UKHSA as necessary.

Swabbing is currently ONLY undertaken after this discussion has taken place.
