IgA TTG antibodies have replaced IgA gliadin, IgG gliadin and IgA endomysial antibodies as the screening test for coeliac disease.
Positive results will be confirmed using IgA endomysial antibodies.
A negative TTG result makes a diagnosis of Coeliac disease unlikely, unless IgA deficient or on gluten free diet.
