Please pin these out on cork board in an anatomical position, place into suitably labelled specimen container with the tissue face down and ensure the specimen is entirely covered in sufficient formalin to allow adequate fixation. Please include a diagram on the reverse of the request form to indicate which of the levels I-V are included and where the boundaries are. Failure to comply with these requirements will inevitably result in considerable delay to the report.
